The PCOS Method FAQ

Who is The PCOS Method Suitable For?

PCOS is a hormonal imbalance like so many other health conditions. Balance is our key to success in this meal plan. Every meal of each day is balanced within set macronutrient and calorie guidelines. This balance will keep you feeling full, stabilise your blood sugars and help those hormones normalise. Over time this can improve your PCOS symptoms and for many, weight. Because of this balance everyone can benefit from this plan! This means it's suitable for your partner and children too, simply increase portion sizes if they need a little more. If you are feeding a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children), we would recommend tripling the dinner meals.

Specifically The PCOS Method can also help people with the following health conditions:

Type 2 Diabetes, Obesity, Metabolic Disease, Fatty Liver Disease, Arthritis & Body Pains, Migraines & Headaches, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, PMS & PDD, Fatigue, High Cholesterol, High Blood Pressure, Respiratory Concerns, Mental Health Issues, Constipation, Infertility, Autoimmune Issues and Thyroid Disease.

Can I Switch Meals or Ingredients?

Our top tip for best results is, follow the plan as closely as possible. Remember that you are looking to purchase this plan because what you are currently doing isn't working for you. We recommend you follow the plan as it is, and do your very best to not change meals up! It might be tempting to swap things around, but we have made this plan with a specific balance of ingredients and macro and micronutrients.

However, if you don't like a protein option, you can easily swap this - like fish for chicken. You can also leave out vegetables you don't like if it is only a small part of the recipe, or swap them for one that you do! The support group is available to help you with questions as needed.

Are the Meals Children Friendly?

Yes they are 100% child friendly. We don't include any foods that are out of the ordinary, nor exclude any essential foods groups. The meals are balanced and super tasty.

Is The PCOS Method Gluten and Dairy Free?

Yes they are easily made 100% gluten and dairy free, simply choose a gluten free bread and most recipes have a dairy free alternative, or you can simply leave it out.

Is The PCOS Method Keto?

No, The PCOS Method is not Keto but rather low carb.

How Many People is the Shopping List For?

The meal plan is designed for one person. If you wish you do this with another person, you'll need to double the quantities on the shopping list. You may have to add in more snacks for children or other adults if they are growing and hungry! This also goes for any men or those with a physical job you wish to feed too.

Is the Meal Plan Budget Friendly?

We have done our best to make The PCOS Method budget friendly where possible. However, because we use quality whole foods, it isn't a budget program. The first week will be the most expensive as you may have to purchase a few pantry essentials you may not have at home. We have done our best to make each food easy to find and purchase.

Can I Drink Milk on the Plan?

The short answer is no. The purpose of this plan is to improve hormonal health and milk can cause an imbalance in many people.

For example, milk contains casein which converts in the gut to the inflammatory peptide casomorphin, which can stimulate inflammatory cytokines and histamine cells. These can lead to menstrual pain and heavy bleeding in some women. We include a little dairy in this program in the way of cheese and sour cream but these are optional and limited.

Please swap these out if you know you can't eat any dairy.

Can I Have Coffee on the Plan?

Yes, you can have coffee! We ask that you avoid dairy milk because this can contribute to hormonal imbalances as described above. We would love you to try black coffee but if you must have milk, choose a dash of unsweetened almond milk.

What Kind of Meals Can I Expect?

With over 35 brand new recipes that aren't in our other programs, you can some new favourites in your household! From Tacos & Salsa, to Lemon Chicken, Chicken Satay, Mexican Cauliflower and Beef Bibimbap - we have a colourful and flavoursome array of meals for you to eat over the four weeks.
